I’d love to have a 1980-1981 manual 928. Maybe 1982. I can’t remember but there’s a sweet spot in there between the early models and before they added some extra electronic bits.

I like both solutions that Porsche used but my favorite solution to the drivetrain p la cement is the one many Lamborghini’s models used.
Yes, the shifter is pointing forwards and the differential cover is pointing backwards.
